FASTAG WILL BE DEACTIVATED AFTER JANUARY 31

CHHOTA AKHBAR.

National Highways of India (NHAI) said that according to the new rules of Fastag, Fastags with incomplete KYC will be blacklisted despite having balance in the account. NHAI has set the last date for KYC as 31 January 2024. If the complete KYC process is not completed then it will be deactivated.

According to media reports, Indian National Highways has started a new initiative of 'One Vehicle, One Fastag'. Its purpose is that multiple Fastags have been issued for the same vehicles. In such a situation, a new initiative has been implemented to stop its use. If you want that your FASTag does not go in the blacklist, then you will have to update KYC immediately.

FASTag users are advised to immediately complete the KYC process for their latest FASTag. At the same time, users will have to leave the FASTag already issued by the banks.

It has been revealed in the NHAI report that multiple Fastags have been issued for the same vehicle. Which is a violation under RBI rules. For this reason the old FASTag is being blacklisted. Along with this, complaints have also been received that FASTag is not installed on the windshield of the vehicle. Due to this there is delay at toll plaza.
